Commitment is for one hour a week during the soccer season (usually seven weeks in the fall and seven weeks in the spring). The first half hour is stretching and practice; the second half hour is the game followed by snacks. The VIP team divides into two teams and plays with/against each other. Team members change from week to week. Games are held at River Oaks in Galesburg. Since many of our kids have physical disabilities, we are a "fair weather" team. If it's raining, we don't play. Games are played on smaller field sizes Fee-$65/player, $170 family maximum (can be refunded up until the first game; scholarships available upon request) We try to recruit "buddies" (other students) who help the kids during the soccer game. Our VIP team members love learning from and playing with their buddies. If there are not enough buddies, parents usually pitch in and help.
